I would love to go back to high school, in my third year. That year I entered the inter-high school public speaking competition and went all the way to Nationals, but before I could perform, we won another singing category and I celebrated so hard I lost my voice and could not speak the following day despite an entire night of eating raw lemons. I still did well clinching the fifth spot but it could have been mine in the bag.
If only I could have that day back. Then there was this girl who was a girl scout the same year... but that is an entirely different story.
